The Curse of Issyos - это экшен-платформер в стиле ретро, в котором есть все, что обычно бывает в старых 8-битных играх: хорошая куча врагов и боссов, линейные и открытые прокручиваемые уровни, секреты для открытия и предыстория, вдохновленная греческой мифологией. Она не пытается особенно подражать ретро-системе, но она последовательна со своими собственными ограничениями в использовании цветов, спрайтов и звуков микросхем. Саундтрек был написан Gryzor87 с использованием PX Tone от Pixel Amaya.
