Это первый выпуск SUSE Linux после того, как Novell выкупила SUSE в январе 2004 года. Это был один из первых дистрибутивов, выпущенных с версией ядра Linux 2.6. Novell разместила на FTP-сервере неподдерживаемый ISO-образ компакт-диска с 1 компакт-диском SUSE Linux 9.1, который по сути был SUSE Linux 9.1 Personal Edition. SUSE Linux 9.1 послужил основой для SUSE Llinux Enteprise Server 9 и Novell Linux Desktop 9. SUSE Linux 9.1 сменил SUSE Linux 9.2 и прекратил работу с пятницы, 30 июня 2006 года. SUSE Linux 9.1 по-прежнему доступен на различных SUSE FTP сервера. Ему предшествовал SUSE Linux 9.0. P.S. Это BOXED коммерческая версия содранная с физических дисков - поэтому присутствуют кодеки mp3 и adobe flash. Именно этой версии нет ни на одном трекере или архиве это коммерческий вариант куплен в Берлине в 2005-м за 50 euro)) В раздаче два двд под разные архитектуры, md5 SuSE9.1Professional/SUSE91_64.iso) = c6e4b74c671cee3625f35f6eb35de47a SuSE9.1Professional/SUSE91_32.iso) = 6af511c68e068dad2478d66d7f098efb
