Mapping Software published by National Geographic on CD-ROM sets. The original system requirements were Windows XP through 2000, making it difficult to use now. The original software was also quite limited in the fact you could only print out small sections of the maps, or load small sections onto old handheld GPS units. Custom software was written to extract all the JPG imagery from Nat Geo's proprietary TPQ files, and package them into a large KMZ file. The program "Global Mapper" was then used to create an MBTILEs file from the original imagery. All KMZ's (containing original bit-perfect JPGs) are contained in a separate torrent due to size limitations. Only the MBTILEs and xml files are included. The KMZ files are arrange by letter A, F, K, Q from least detailed to most detailed maps where Q files have 1: 24k imagery. All 12 KMZ files (seperate torrent due to size restrictions) have been integrated into the MBTILEs file. An xml file is included that allows you to utilize the mbtiles file as a source in MOBAC . Place the xml file in the "mapsources" directory in the MOBAC directory, and place the mbtiles file in the following directory in the MOBAC main folder. (mbtile_sources / tx /). The directory path can be edited in the xml file if you want something different. If you have any of the other Topo! sets shown in the attached map image, and you'd like them converted, please PM me.
